Aloha & Welcome to the Original Haleiwa Super Market!

From all of our ohana here at Haleiwa Super Market, we would like to welcome you to Haleiwa, Hawaii.

Mahalo nui loa!

**Proud supporter of the North Shore Community for over 101 years!**

In 1907, Kasaku Sakai started a small grocery store that made home deliveries to plantation workers using a horse and buggy. In 1954, the store expanded to a walk-in store which allowed for cash and carry.

In 1975, the company opened the first supermarket on the North Shore. The store quickly became a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike.

Although the store was sold to CVS/Longs Drugs in 2009, the aloha spirit of this mom and pop supermarket lives on with the Haleiwa Super Market brand.

The Haleiwa Super Market brand has developed a gift and food product line which is Hawaiian supermarket-themed and features the nostalgic designs of acclaimed Japanese illustrator Osamu Harada. Osamu Harada is most well-known in Japan for being the creator of  "Osamu Goods". His designs are recognized by young and old alike.

The Haleiwa Super Market brand buys local whenever possible and strives produce products in Hawaii and the USA whenever possible. All of our tote bags and aprons are 100% made in the USA. Our t-shirts are printed locally on the North Shore. All of our food products are made locally in Hawaii.
